Cerritos High School (SS) is looking for a sprints, pole vault and jumps coaches for the upcoming season (2012-2013). We had a nice core of young athletes last season and will look to build upon that success. Applicants should be available M-F from 3pm to 5pm, as well as having some flexibility for meets, which are mainly on Thursdays and Saturdays. We are looking for positive, energetic, and knowledgeable coaches who will help push the athletes to learn lessons about life, rather than simply winning. Franklin HS in Elk Grove (SJ) seeks an assistant track & field coach to instruct and teach athletes in fundamentals of track and field, coaches technique and strategy. Assists the head coach in the coordination of administrative areas of program management including, but not limited to, scheduling and coaching competitions and practices, travel plans and equipment. The Assistant Coach monitors academic progress of student athletes; ensures compliance with the Delta Valley conference, NFHS, and Franklin High School rules and regulations. This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged. San Juan Hills High School in San Juan Capistrano (SS) is seeking a female assistant coach for our girl's cross country program. Marina High School in Huntington Beach (SS) is seeking two assistant coaches for the upcoming cross county season. We are in need of a frosh/soph and jv boys and girls coach. Marina has been one of the top teams in the state the last few years with boys Sunset League Championships in 2009 and 2010 ( along with two top 10 finishes in CIF) and a girls championship in 2012. The girls were also third in the state in division 1 last year. All of the athletes in our program the last few years have been home grown, IE: we had no transfers. Most start at the lower levels, which make the coaches at that level very important. There is coaching pay for both summer and regular season. The Sunset League is one of the top leagues every year, so the level of competition is high. Summer practice times are 8:00am-10:00 am starting July 9.
