27th Annual Eastern Relays


SATURDAY
** - B-800: Running alone from almost the gun, Butler KY sr Tre'Tez Kinnaird hammered every meter and was rewarded by a PR and US#3 1:49.97.
** - B-1600: Completing an amazing triple, Lancaster OH sr Brandon Kidder closes in 57 to win with US#5 4:09.33 (following 4:10 and 1:51 relay legs). Doubling back from last night's 3,200, Tsefaye Hiluf OH and Jacob Thomson KY were 2nd and 3rd in PRs of 4:10.27 and 4:10.69. Ten broke 4:18.
** - B-100/400: Ballard KY sr Ronnie Baker doubled impressively with 10.59 (+1.0w) and 47.42.
** - G-1600: With a blazing final lap of 67, Assumption KY soph Katherine Receveur outran McAuley OH sr Danielle Pfeifer as both PR'd with 4:56.84 and 4:57.23.
** - B-4x800: Brandon Kidder comes back from last night's winning DMR anchor for another come-from-behind effort (1:51) to take Lancaster OH to a 7:54.03 triumph.
** - G-4x800: The Assumption, Ky. girls display their impressive depth with their 2nd relay win of the meet, just missing the Kentucky state record with their school record 9:21.43. Assumption's 'B' team is second with 9:46.87.
** - G-Sprints/Relays: Morgan Park IL cleaned up with individual winners Elexis Fairley doubling the 100 and 200 in 12.38 (+1.3w) and 25.65 (-0.4w), Nyasia Bolden taking the 400 in 58.05, Ashley Johnson the 100H (15.01, +0.3w) and the school claiming the 4x1 (48.84) and 4x4 (3:59.66).
** - B-Sprint Relays: Belleville West also came from Illinois with some outstanding efforts, taking the 4x1 (42.69) and 4x4 (3:22.76). Miercoles Bell also won the 110H with 14.78 (+0.5w).
** - B-DT: Houston TN sr Hunter Harrison won it on his last throw with a PR 183-0, the best field event mark of the meet.
** - B-HJ: Warren Central KY sr Donovan Halsel defended his title at 6-8 before missing at 6-10.

** - B-3200: In the best 8-lap race in Kentucky history, Holy Cross sr Jacob Thomson leads four at 9:02 or better with his second 8:58 in three weeks. With his 8:58.62, he outkicks Tsefaye Hiluf OH 9:00.20, Nick Voegel OH 9:01.88 and Connor Sorrells IN 9:02.82. Seven more break 9:20 and 15 total are under 9:30.
** - B-DMR: With a 4:10 anchor from 4:06 miler Brandon Kidder, Lancaster OH takes the crown with a 10:20.79.
** - G-DMR: A 5:01 anchor by Danielle Pfeifer finishes off a 12:21.66 win for McAuley OH.
