Editor's note: Every week, ESPN RISE editor David Auguste will take you on a journey to the hometowns of some of the nation's top talents, giving you an inside look at where they're from. We'll get a tour of their favorite spots for sports, good eats, entertainment and more. So come along for the ride and remember, it's not where you're at, it's where you're from.

What's Poppin'

I live in West Carrollton -- it's like 10 minutes from Dayton. We used to call it "W.C." then shortened it to "Dub C". It's probably about 30-45 minutes from Cincinnati. Around here there's the University of Dayton, UC, Xavier and Miami University.

Bright Lights, Big City

A fun place to go to is Kings Island in Cincinnati. I love it. It's an amusement park. Further north in Monroe is Cincinnati Premium Outlets. They have Ralph Lauren, BCBG and 120-something outlets stores. The Green in Beavercreek is like a city within itself. There are a lot of shopping centers and movie theaters.

Pump It Up

Rap is the most popular music genre here. There are some good local artists, but I don't know any of their names. A lot of people listen to Gucci (Mane) but I don't know why. Jay-Z is hot right now. And everybody loves Lil Wayne.

The Schuster Center by Wright State University in Dayton has a lot of concerts there. That's also where our graduation is going to be. It seats a lot of people, it's comfortable and the acoustics are nice. I think I saw Bow Wow there when I was in fourth grade.

Hungry? Why wait?

We eat everything around here. We eat a lot of pasta and chicken. Bravos Cucina Italiana in Centerville -- it's just the best I've ever had. Try the fettuccini chicken alfredo. We also have the Strawberry Festival in the summer time. Everything you can think of is made out of strawberries. I'm not a big fan of strawberries myself.

Change Clothes

For girls, we all wear Polo Ralph Lauren from the hat all the way down to the shoes. A lot of people wear skinny jeans, graphic tees and Chuck Taylors. Everybody wears Jordans and lot of girls wear Uggs. That's pretty much it. Boys wear Polo, too. That's probably all you'll see around here.

The Spot

A lot of people like to eat and hang out at Chipotle or at the movie theatres in Huber Heights. That's where people go on Friday nights. A lot of people go to house parties.

Rivalry Renewed

In girls' basketball, it's Chaminade-Julienne and Alter. Pretty much the same for all sports. They're like 10 minutes away from us. They're so good in everything. Since I've been here, we are about .500 against them.

In football, it's Badin. In the area, the best rivalries are Centerville vs. Fairmont and St. Xavier vs. Moeller.

Sports Scene

Right now everybody is hollering about the Bengals. Some people like the Cowboys and Steelers. The Reds -- nobody pays them any attention. Ohio State is more popular than the Bengals. I went to a game my sophomore year against Michigan State. The stadium is pretty nice but it wasn't the best I've been in. The fans were crazy, though.

Popular jerseys are Ohio State and (Chad) Ochocinco.

Papparazi Alert

I haven't seen any celebrities around here. Tamika Williams (former UConn and WNBA star) and her sister were born here.

Javon Ringer went to C-J. He went on to Michigan State and plays for the Tennessee Titans. He's going to be in the C-J Hall of Fame in a few years.

Say What? (local slang)

"Beat it '" -- It means go somewhere. Like if you told me Lil Wayne was the best rapper, I'd be like, 'boy, beat it.'

My tourist slogan: "It's as simple as 1-2-3, come to Dayton and come see me."
