Prime Time Players

JOHN HENSON

Rated the nation's No. 3 senior in the ESPNU 100,
Henson was the first player from the Class of 2009
to commit to North Carolina. The talented combo
forward moved to Tampa from Round Rock, Texas.

DEXTER FIELDS

The most prolific scorer in school history, Fields
averaged 17.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists
per game in 2007-08. The slashing combo guard has
committed to UAB.

RICHIE EDWARDS


Edwards, who lived in New Zealand until he was 14,
is an excellent small forward with the ability to
score inside and out. He earned All-State honors
last season after averaging 18 points per game.

SHELDON COOLEY

The 2007-08 St. Petersburg Times Player of the Year,
Cooley averaged 22.1 points, 8.7 rebounds and five
steals per game last year, leading the Panthers to
the regional semifinals.
