PRIME-TIME PLAYERS

WES SEVER

The Terrapins' most prolific scorer, Sever notched
39 goals last year. He was named MVP of the Class
2A state tournament as Tampa Prep took home its
second straight title last winter.

KOREY VEEDER

An NSCAA/adidas Youth All-American, Veeder
spent last year in the Under-17 Men's National Team
Residency Program in Bradenton. He figures to be a
big part of U.S. Soccer for years to come.

GRIFFIN, JEWELL and McBRYAR

The trio of stars is down to one — if that. Griffin
tore her ACL, McBryar is graduating early to enroll
at Florida, and Jewell missed time with a fractured
eye socket. Can the Scorps still contend?

ALEX CROWN

A Youth National Team staple, Crown is rated the
No. 47 player in the Class of 2009 by ESPNU. The
2007 NSCAA/adidas All-American is expected to
graduate early and enroll at Florida State.

COACH'S TAKE

AN AREA COACH ON JOSH GRADY:

"He is possibly the best goalkeeper in Central
Florida. He has great size and strength and has
lots of command on the field. He wins everything
in the air that comes into his box and does
well in his positioning."
