High Fly goes to Zito barn

High Fly, who suffered his first career defeat when he finished third as the favorite in last week's Holy Bull Stakes at Gulfstream Park, was transferred from trainer Bill White to Nick Zito on Friday by owner Charlotte Webber's Live Oak Plantation.

"Yes, he's here. He's in the barn right now," Zito said Friday afternoon from Florida. "He came over today. We have other horses with Mrs. Webber. I'm very appreciative. I'm happy she's got faith in our stable."

White had trained High Fly for his first four races. High Fly won his first three starts, including the Aventura Stakes on Jan. 8 at Gulfstream, by a combined 21 1/4 lengths. High Fly had a difficult, wide trip in the Holy Bull under jockey Eddie Castro, who had ridden High Fly in all his races.

Zito said he had yet to decide where High Fly would run next.
