Spurs coach Gregg Popovich on the potential benefits of calling out your team: "I don't know. You can go either way probably. We just call it like we see it. We've always been honest and straightforward. I think players appreciate that. They don't like to be tricked or manipulated or have smoke blown at them. The truth is always better."

Frei's incredible save denies Jozy's header
Soccer

Stefan Frei came up with the biggest save of MLS Cup, batting away Jozy Altidore's looping headed effort. Seattle outlasted Toronto on penalties to win their first MLS Cup despite not registering a shot on goal.

Have to wonder if the Sounders totally deserve to win MLS Cup after failing to register a shot on goal, the first time that's happened in a final in league history. Still, Seattle's run to the title is still a great story after they appeared unlikely to make the playoffs for much of the season. Have to feel for TFC captain Michael Bradley, who was immense for the hosts but missed his spot kick. My MLS Cup MVP vote went to Sounders midfielder Ozzie Alonso.

Penalty kicks will decide MLS Cup after 120 scoreless minutes between the Seattle Sounders and host Toronto FC. Might give the edge to TFC keeper Clint Irwin here, but then this game would be over already if not for Sounder Stefan Frei's acrobatic save on Jozy Altidore in extra time.

Norway's Emil Meek (9-2-1) picks up a unanimous decision win over Jordan Mein (29-11) at UFC 206. Injured his rib during the fight, but pulls off the victory in his UFC debut. For Mein, it was his first appearance since surprisingly announcing his retirement at age 25 last year.

The Bulls sneak out with a win. Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade combine for 59 points. Bulls have got to find more answers offensively, though. This is too much of a burden for Butler and Wade to carry all season.

Rockets extend their winning streak to a season-high six games with a 109-87 win over Dallas. Houston made 19 three-pointers, second highest total this season. James Harden had 16 assists, one shy of his career high. He also was one rebound shy of a triple-double. He had 18 points.

At 19 years, 337 days, Lamar Jackson is the youngest Heisman Trophy winner. He's the 4th sophomore to win the award, the first from the ACC.

Espinosa's an upgrade for the Angels at 2b but a $5 million albatross for the Nats. Washington gets two fringe relief prospects plus the salary relief, and Trea Turner assumes his rightful place as their everyday shortstop.

ESPN Stats and Information

The Nationals traded Danny Espinosa to the Angels. Though Espinosa had the lowest batting average among batting-title qualifiers (.209), he brought value in other ways. He had 8 Defensive Runs Saved at SS in 2016 and ranked 3rd in MLB with 10 Defensive Runs Saved at 2B in 2015 (he'll likely play 2B for the Angels).

The Rockets have made at least 10 three-pointers in a NBA record 23 consecutive games. In the 22 previous games, Rockets were shooting 37.6 percent from three averaging 14.1 threes a game. Tonight against Dallas, Houston has made 15 three-pointers.

ESPN Stats and Information

The Warriors have trailed by as many as 30 points. Only two NBA teams have come back from a 30-point deficit over the last 20 seasons: The Kings overcame a 35-point deficit against the Bulls in December 2009, and the Lakers overcame a 30-point deficit against the Mavericks in December 2002.

Nick Friedell ESPN Staff Writer

Dwyane Wade scored 11 points in the third quarter and has 22 on the night. He carried the Bulls offensively in stretches and looks pumped up to play against his former teammates. As usual, Wade and Butler doing the heavy lifting for Bulls.
