More from last night: Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson said after the 6-6 tie that his back was being wrapped and had a heating pad on it throughout the game. "My back is killing me," Peterson said after the game. "I'll be alright." His back injury affected his ability to cut, he said. "At times I was able to run forward but it was all about breaking when I had the opportunity to break left and right, when I had to extend my arm and things like that. But I'll be OK. I'll be ready to go next week."

The Lakers officially announce that they have waived forward Yi Jianlian. "Yi was productive in practices and games with us, and was a consummate professional both on and off the court," Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak said in a release. "However, he felt that the minutes and opportunities he'd be afforded here were not in line with his goals and ambitions, and that he'd be better off in a different situation. We appreciate his efforts and wish him great success as he goes forward with his career." The Lakers will have to decide by 5 p.m. whether their final roster spot will go to Thomas Robinson or Metta World Peace.

Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze must be ready for the World Series. He used a baseball analogy today when referencing his team's recent struggles. "We can't afford to throw 75 miles per hour on the corner of the plate and get by. We have to throw 96 miles per hour on every single play to be able to compete and have a chance to win some of the games that we're in."

Josh Moyer ESPN Staff Writer
