Brandon Ingram said the next step to returning is to go on the court and ramp it up with the team. The next practice for the Lakers likely is early next week in New Orleans after they play in Indiana on Monday. "He obviously is coming with us on the road trip," Luke Walton said. "I wouldn't be surprised if he plays on the road trip. He is feeling much better he says. But we are going to keep being patient with him and make sure that he goes through all the proper channels before we throw him back out there."

Luke Walton was asked if there's been any talk about using Luol Deng with so many injuries. Walton said it's been discussed internally and with Deng and that all parties involved are good with the veteran not playing. "We've discussed it," Walton said. "Multiple people [were part of the discussion] but we decided it was best to keep it where we've been at."

Luke Walton says Miami "was tougher than us tonight. That's really frustrating." Walton said he wanted to go to Julius Randle on last play but Lonzo Ball's man went to help on Randle. Walton said he can live with an open shot by Isaiah Thomas at the end.

Big, important win for OKC, fighting off a terrific performance from the Clippers to pick up a fifth straight win. And it was Corey Brewer who made the difference, leading the Thunder in scoring with 22 — that is a real sentence — while Westbrook picked up a fourth straight triple-double. With 10 of their final 11 games against plus-.500 teams, this was a much needed game for OKC to get on their home floor.

Warriors star Kevin Durant said he suffered his fractured rib Sunday in his team's loss at Minnesota. "Late in the game, I was driving to the rim, and I kind of rammed into Karl-Anthony Towns and that's when I felt it," Durant said. "That's when it happened, for sure, and they told me it got inflamed over the last couple days between games." Durant still played in his team's 117-106 win over the Lakers on Wednesday, notching a game-high 26 points, but in the second quarter of that game, Durant said he aggravated the injury when closing out on a defender on the perimeter. "That's when I felt it and I kind of stopped," Durant said. "I didn't know what was going on at that point, but when I went over to the bench, it was hurting pretty bad." He said he's not concerned, overall, about the issue. "Hopefully this feels better over the next week or so and I'll be out there," Durant said.

John Sullivan's contract will only reach $15M if he basically doesn't miss time, the Rams win in the playoffs, etc, I'm told. It's actually a 2-year, $10M deal with incentives. It also has protection against injury in the second year.

Brandon Ingram is cleared for non-contact basketball activities. The Lakers say Ingram is day-to-day moving forward. He's out tonight against Miami. Lakers play after that in Indiana on Monday.

Brook Lopez (back tightness) is probable to play tonight but still a game-time decision.
