The Angels officially placed CF Mike Trout (torn thumb ligament) on the 10-day DL and selected the contract of LF Eric Young Jr. from Triple-A Salt Lake. Los Angeles also transferred P Tyler Skaggs (strained oblique) from the 10-day DL to the 60-day DL in a corresponding roster move.
