Dodgers SS Corey Seager is expected to start in Saturday's Freeway Series game against the Angels. Seager had been limited to minor league games of late after missing most of the Cactus League schedule with a strain in his side.

The Dodgers made four moves before Thursday's Freeway Series game against the Angels. IF Chris Taylor, OF Trayce Thompson and LHP Julio Urias were optioned, while C Bobby Wilson was reassigned. The moves appear to open the door to have IF/OF Enrique Hernandez on the Opening Day roster.

Matt Shoemaker told Outside the Lines Thursday he doesn't know yet whether he'll be the Angels' Opening Day starter. But he said when he does take the mound for the first time in the regular season since a Sept. 4 line drive fractured his skull and necessitated emergency surgery for a brain bleed, he'll be wearing an SST Pro Performance carbon-fiber cap insert.
