The energy in Staples and with the Lakers is low at the start of this game. And the Pelicans' slow pace isn't helping the Lakers, who trailed by 15 early in second. Lakers are having to work very hard on offense with no easy baskets and are having all sorts of problems stopping Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins and Jrue Holiday.

ESPN Stats and Information

Both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers recorded shutouts Sunday. It's the first time in the Super Bowl era two teams from the same city recorded shutouts in the same week. In other words…the Giants and Jets have never posted shutouts the same week, and the Raiders and Rams never did it when both were stationed in Los Angeles.

Dave Roberts says Dodgers haven't decided who Corey Seager replaces on the World Series roster yet. But he's "assuming" Seager plays (if he comes through today/Monday OK)

After starting the season 0-4, the Chargers have won three straight. And at 3-4, the Bolts still remain in the postseason conversation and therefore have reason for hope nearing the midpoint of this the 2017 campaign. Getting a win on the road next week against the defending Super Bowl Champs, the New England Patriots, would push the Chargers to .500 heading into the bye week.
