Chargers' secondary comes up roses

The Chargers on Sunday became the first team to intercept five passes in the first half of a game since the Dolphins did so against the Steelers on Dec. 3, 1973. Joe Gilliam, Pittsburgh's starting QB that night, was picked off three times before Terry Bradshaw came in and was intercepted twice more before halftime. (Elias Sports Bureau)

Worth noting: Rookie NT Tanzel Smart received only seven snaps on Sunday, with Rams still looking for a third starter alongside Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers. DE Ethan Westbrooks (31 snaps), DT Tyrunn Walker (26) and Morgan Fox (19) all played more.
