Ball says he's done at UCLA (1:10)

Lonzo Ball just announced he's declaring for the 2017 NBA Draft. It's a no brainer. He's a top 3 pick. Several lottery teams have him No. 1 on their board. Mediocre game tonight won't affect his draft stock much. Put him on the floor with NBA players and he's going to be a monster.

Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball, De'Aaron Fox, Dennis Smith Jr., Frank Ntilikina. May be the greatest point guard draft ever. Four of these guys could go in the Top 5

Fox's career-high 39 leads Kentucky over UCLA (0:30)

Big winner in the NBA Draft tonight may be Markelle Fultz. Coming into the NCAA Tournament, scouts had Fultz slightly ahead of Lonzo Ball on their boards. A huge Final 4 run for Ball may have pushed him ahead of Fultz. With Ball out and struggling against NBA tart like Fox, think Fultz retains his edge for the No. 1 pick.

Lonzo Ball was a major disappointment, especially in the second half. 10 points, 3 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 blocks, 4 turnovers. Just 1-6 from three. Struggled defensively all night. Strangely passive at times. Not a great last impression for NBA scouts. Kentucky exposed his weaknesses. Still think he's a Top 3 pick.

De'Aaron Fox (39 points) carried Kentucky into the Elite Eight with an amazing effort against UCLA. Did it all in front of Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka, who might still pick Lonzo Ball if they have the chance but will leave Memphis knowing Fox was the best player on the court on Friday night.

Lonzo Ball was mediocre, Malik Monk was good -- and De'Aaron Fox was sensational. 39 points. Kentucky vs. UNC. Sunday. Final 4 on the line.

De'Aaron Fox with a masterpiece tonight. 39 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 1 turnover, 13-20 shooting. Completely outplayed Lonzo Ball on both ends of the court. Speed, explosion, toughness, heart, great feel for the game. He's a consistent jumper away from being a monster in the NBA someday.

Monk and Fox flowing against UCLA all night. Bruins had no answer for either player. Challenged the best offense in the Sweet 16 (Bruins were shooting 52.1 percent from the field entering Friday's game).

Imagine if Kentucky had Kobi Simmons instead of De'Aaron Fox? Cats went into summer couple years ago focused on Simmons, but changed course late and nabbed Fox.
