Denver coach Mike Malone and center Nikola Jokic were just ejected from the game by official Rodney Mott with 6:20 left in second quarter. Jokic missed an offensive rebound tip and the center acted like he was pushed in the back by Kyle Kuzma. Malone immediately ran onto the court at Mott to scream at him as play went down court. Mott T'd up both Malone and Jokic and threw both out. And Mott later gave Jamal Murray a technical for arguing a foul less than a minute later.

Luke Walton says he talked to Lonzo Ball to let him know the team is behind him if he needs anything with yet another thing potentially for him to deal with after President Trump's tweet back to LaVar Ball concerning LiAngelo Ball. "He's got more on his plate than I can ever imagine anyone having especially at his age," the Lakers coach said. "It is our job to be here and let him know that we support him and believe in him. I don't know where it gets too much and how he reacts to it. I've made a point to talk to him and let him know whether or not he needs it that my belief and our team's belief in him is 100% there... To me it is all about the fact that we have three young college American students back at home. That is the most important thing. I am not really into the whole argument back and forth. I am just glad they are back home and able to be with their families and get an education."

Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn liked that his team played mistake-free football: "What I took away from this game was, we played smart. Regardless of who they started at quarterback, we didn't play dumb football. We had one penalty the whole game, and we didn't get it until the fourth quarter. That's what we emphasize and what's what we need."

Chargers cornerback Casey Hayward, who had two interceptions on the day, on the Buffalo Bills starting rookie Nathan Peterman against his team's defense. The Chargers intercepted Peterman five times: "He's a rookie, so they decided to start him this week against our team. I'm pretty sure we might've felt a little disrespected. They started a rookie against a really good defense. We have some good edge rushers and we have some good guys in the secondary. So we had to take advantage of that."
