At the end of the 2016-17 NBA D-League season, the Los Angeles D-Fenders -- the D-League affiliate of the Los Angeles Lakers -- will change their name to become the South Bay Lakers, the team announced Sunday. The D-Fenders currently practice and play in El Segundo, Calif., where they've been headquartered since 2006. Their team colors are the Lakers' purple and gold, along with "South Bay Blue," a nod to the nearby Pacific Ocean.
