Kicker Boermeester seeks USC reinstatement

Former USC kicker Matt Boermeester, who is two classes shy of graduation, is petitioning to be reinstated. He was expelled last month following a Title IX investigation.

Sammy Watkins is wearing No. 2, his number from Clemson, but will have to change it for the regular season. Receivers can only wear 80-89 or 10-19. Watkins wants to keep it in the teens. He wore 14 in Buffalo, which now belongs to backup QB Sean Mannion. Watkins hasn't approached Mannion about 14 yet.
