SAN FRANCISCO -- Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Andre Ethier's season-ending, arthroscopic surgery on his right knee has been scheduled for Wednesday and will be performed by team physician Dr. Neal ElAttrache, manager Don Mattingly said Sunday.
The recovery time is expected to be short enough that Ethier can still engage in something close to his normal offseason conditioning program in advance of next season.
Mattingly also said there will be no further call-ups for September roster expansion even after the Dodgers' Double-A Chattanooga affiliate was swept out of the first round of the Southern League playoffs on Saturday night.
"This is it,'' Mattingly said. "This is our club.''
