Clippers' Telfair out 4-6 weeks

The Clippers will be without point guard Sebastian Telfair for at least the next four to six weeks after he suffered a right groin strain and torn right thigh tendon in the Clippers' victory over Chicago on Wednesday.

Telfair did not travel with the team on its eight-game road trip, which began Thursday night in Denver. The reserve guard was averaging 4.3 points and 2.9 assists in 14.3 minutes a game.

The team also announced the signing of guard JamesOn Curry to a 10-day contract and waived injured forward Kareem Rush.

Curry has been with the D-League's Springfield Armor this season, averaging 16.1 points, 7.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds.

The former Oklahoma State star was drafted by the Bulls in 2007 but has spent his entire pro career in the D-League, France and Cyprus.

Rush tore a ligament in his right knee on Nov. 17, requiring season-ending surgery.
