Randy Foye out with hurt hamstring

LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Clippers point guard Randy Foye missed Sunday's game against the Dallas Mavericks with a sprained left hamstring.

Foye hurt his hamstring during a non-contact drill at Saturday's practice and is officially listed as day to day. Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said
Foye will be re-evaluated Monday but predicted Foye would likely "be out a week or two."

Foye was the team's primary back-up point guard behind Baron Davis and those minutes will likely now go to rookie Eric Bledsoe.

"We have to manage it a little bit," Del Negro said. "We have to give Eric some minutes to give Baron a rest. Just try to have some different lineups. Maybe have [Eric] Gordon over there depending on match-ups and things."

The Clippers play five games in seven days, and Foye said he is hoping to return after that stretch.

"It feels better today than it did yesterday," Foye said. "I really want to be out there with my teammates, but I don't want to risk a tear."
