"We're not going to talk about the game on Sunday," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said during pregame remarks Friday night. "We're going to talk about what's ahead of us."
The taunting before Sunday's Finals rematch began in unusual fashion this week when photos surfaced on the Internet of the sneakers that Celtics forward Kevin Garnett plans to wear for the game. Embroidered in block lettering on the tongue of the shoe is the message "152-120," representing Boston's all-time win-loss record when playing against Los Angeles.
"It's just the right thing to do," Jackson said about the Celtics-related silent treatment. "We're about playing the game that's right now."
