Philip Rivers' 28.86 fantasy points were his third-most in his 191 career games, trailing only his 29.86 of 2013 Week 2 and 28.90 of 2015 Week 12. It was his 51st career game with at least 20 fantasy points, yet he has never scored 30 in a game.

With that 42-yard completion to Keenan Allen for a score, Philip Rivers eclipsed the 400-yard passing mark and has 416 on the day. The last time Rivers threw for over 400 passing yards was on Oct. 18, 2015 when he threw for 505 yards in a 27-20 loss at Green Bay.

Apologies, but I made a typo on an earlier post: CB Nickell Robey-Coleman probably won't play; Kayvon Webster probably WILL play. Lamarcus Joyner and Blake Countess are options to fill in for Robey-Coleman in the slot.

Finally we have a touchdown. Rivers finds Hunter Henry in the back of the end zone. Then Nick Novak comes, noticeably limping, and totally hooks the extra point. 9-0 Chargers.

Stefano Fusaro ESPN

Chargers punter Drew Kaser practicing field goals, with a halftime concert going on 20 yards away. Novak did come back in and kick the a field goal late in the 2nd, the games only points. But he could possibly be done as Kaser continues to warm up.

Eric D. Williams ESPN Staff Writer

Keenan Allen and Hunter Henry have combined for 10 catches for 148 receiving yards in the first half, but the Chargers have failed to find the end zone and lead 3-0 at halftime. The Chargers have struggled to run the football with just 9 rushing yards in the first half.

Eric D. Williams ESPN Staff Writer

Dealing with a back injury, Nick Novak came back into the game and made a 22-yard field goal, giving the Chargers a 3-0 lead.

Alden Gonzalez ESPN Staff Writer

Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips said CB Nickell Robey-Coleman, who plays the slot, probably won't play, but CB Kayvon Webster, who plays on the outside, probably won't. Lamarcus Joyner, the starting safety, or Blake Countess can fill in.

Philip Rivers is in a groove right now, competing 14 of 17 passes for 214 yards. But Chargers have no points to show for it.
