The Dodgers, unsurprisingly, have been aggressive in pushing their outfielders, specifically Matt Kemp and Yasiel Puig, who would free up money, but don't feel pressure to get something done at the Winter Meetings. Said Dave Roberts: "It's a luxury when you're in a situation where you have a lot of good players already on your 40-man roster that you don't need to chase a certain player, overpay."

Some Dodgers tidbits from today: the team is comfortable with a combination of Kiké Hernandez, Chris Taylor and Max Muncy at 2B; Kenta Maeda comes in as a starter and Julio Urias will have an innings limit; the goal, Dave Roberts said, is for Cody Bellinger to get back to being an everyday player.

Chase Utley, recently retired, is here with the Dodgers in Vegas, but has not officially been hired to the front office. Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said Utley, LA based, is "really curious" and the team is "optimistic we'll figure it out."

Doc Rivers said Lou Williams' hamstring injury could take a few weeks to heal. "My guess, two weeks," Rivers said. "I don't know. Honestly. They said it was not a bad hamstring but I have never heard of a good one. I think when you hurt those things, those are really tough injuries."

Doc Rivers says he guesses Lou Williams' hamstring injury could take two to three weeks to recover. Rivers said he was told it's not a "bad" hamstring injury but he adds there's no good hamstring injuries either.
