Los Angeles Teams

Nobody knows how this will ultimately play out, but there appears to be sincere interest on both sides to get something done, which makes one believe Aaron Donald and the Rams may figure it out. But on one side you have a team that is controlling a player for two more years at less than $10 million, and on the other you have a player who deserves to be the game's highest paid on defense. This stuff is really hard with that much time left until free-agent eligibility.

There's nothing positive about Aaron Donald's unsettled contract situation and presumed holdout. He's too important; this summer's too important. But the Rams feel some semblance of comfort for two reasons: Donald's role isn't necessarily changing within the new defense (he'll still be a 3-tech), and they know he will be in shape and all in when he does show up. His teammates revere him and they get it. Robert Quinn said it best: "Aaron has a great heart. He loves playing football, first and foremost. He's just going through a tough little situation right now."

Source: Adidas didn't want LaVar ejected

Officials from Adidas have pressured referees at their Summer Championships from calling technical fouls on LaVar Ball, in part due to Adidas' courtship of Lonzo Ball, a source tells ESPN's Myron Medcalf.
