Week 5 in the Pac-12: What to watch for

The biggest thing to watch for in the Pac-12 in Week 5 is a top-10 matchup between Washington and Stanford, but that's not all you should watch.

After 13 years of Petco Park in San Diego, somebody has finally hit a home run on the roof of the Western Metal Supply Co., in a regular-season game anyway. The Padres' Hunter Renfroe, in his seventh career game, crushed one on top of the fourth floor of the brick building down the LF line. Perhaps more of those are coming from Renfroe, who already has four HRs in those seven games.

Can Arizona State stun reeling USC?

What do you make of struggling USC? Their backs are against the wall but it's hard to believe they are laying 10.5 to Arizona State. ESPN's Phil Steele think the Trojans prevail, but it won't be easy. Week 5 best bets (Insider)

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts won't say if Clayton Kershaw or Rich Hill will be used on short rest in the playoffs, but recent DL stints for both make it unlikely. Maybe Roberts is leaving the door open in case the Dodgers are facing elimination in Game 4 of the NLDS, at which point he might go to Kershaw.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts says Julio Urias will most likely be on the playoff roster. Added that Jose De Leon has not been ruled out, but the odds of having both available in the NLDS seem slim.

Rams DT Aaron Donald, on JJ Watt potentially missing the year after re-injuring his back: "It's tough for him. You never want to hear about a guy being injured, missing a season. Definitely not a guy who plays at such a high level as that guy. Health is the most important thing. It's better to be out there a hundred percent than to be putting bad film out there. ... He's a playmaker. Any time a guy is flying around, making plays like that, he's going to be a fun player to watch. Definitely somebody you respect and you tune in to watch."
