ESPN Stats and Information

The Dodgers were looking to become the 5th team in Live Ball Era to win at least 90 of their first 125 decisions. Instead, they became the firs team to lose a no-hit bid on a walk-off home run. They are still on pace for the second most wins in a season.

Think Rich Hill was emotionally crushed by Josh Harrison's walkoff homer and his failed no-hit bid? On the contrary.

Rich Hill's 2.25 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 33.2 percent strikeout rate in his nine starts since July 1 rank sixth, fourth and fourth among qualified pitchers. The "injury risk" label is always going to be applied, but Hill is automatic when he's healthy. With so little season remaining, the top-10 starter case is an easy one.

Josh Harrison hits a walkoff homer in the 10th inning to end Rich Hill's no-hitter and beat the Dodgers 1-0. Excruciating end to a masterful performance by Hill.

MLB's last 10-inning no-hitter was thrown by the Reds' Jim Maloney vs. the Cubs on Aug. 19, 1965.

Rich Hill's perfect game ended on a Logan Forsythe error to start the ninth inning, but he composed himself nicely and maintained his no-hitter through nine. He's thrown only 95 pitches, so he should be ready to come out for the 10th.

Rich Hill's perfecto ends when Logan Forsythe boots a routine grounder by Jordy Mercer to open the ninth. No-no still intact.

ESPN Stats and Information

The last 2 pitchers to carry a perfect-game bid into the 9th inning both did it against the Pirates (Max Scherzer in 2015 and Rich Hill tonight). The Pittsburgh Pirates have never been victims of a perfect game.

Rich Hill goes out for the ninth inning with a perfect game, but it's 0-0 at PNC Park. He's at 88 pitches, and counting.
