His ex-teammate and fellow Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is also in attendance. Abdul-Jabbar said Johnson will have to learn plenty on the fly in his new role, but he's confident in Johnson. As for the Lakers' rebuilding efforts, Abdul-Jabbar said, "I'm sure all the die-hard fans are tired of waiting, but a lot of what happens in this league is cyclical."
