Dodgers manager Dave Roberts was asked how long it takes to get over a World Series loss in a Game 7. "I was over it until a second ago," Roberts deadpanned, before adding, "I'm not sure you ever get over it." The upshot is that Roberts says he expects his team to be as hungry as any team in the majors in 2018. L.A. is working on a streak of five straight division titles.

Lonzo Ball looked up at the famous ceiling at Madison Square Garden and soaked it all in during his first morning shootaround at the arena. Ball has only been to New York twice — the only other time was for the draft — and tonight will be his first game at the Mecca of basketball. Ball says he's mostly stayed in his hotel room outside of making an appearance at a Big Baller Brand pop-up store to sign autographs for thousands of fans who braved the cold on Sunday. It's a big week for the rookie. Besides making his Garden debut, he faces LeBron James, his favorite player growing up, on Thursday for the first time. "Every kid dreams about playing (at the Garden), just because of all the history and all the battles," Ball said. "It's going to be a lot of fun (this week). The Garden, all the history there and then Lebron, best player in the world. Definitely two challenges, and I look forward to it."

It took until 3:22 left in the fourth quarter for the LA Clippers to get their first lead in the second half against the Toronto Raptors, who led by as many as 13 points tonight. But once the Clippers got the lead, they did not relinquish it. A clutch three by returning rookie Milos Teodosic, as well as 17 rebounds from DeAndre Jordan and a 22-5 advantage on second chance points, allowed the Clippers to pull an upset and beat the Raptors 96-91 to snap Toronto's win streak at six games.
