The playoffs got off to a rocky start for the Kings as goaltender Jonathan Quick suffered the worst postseason loss of his career. Quick gave up three goals in the first period for the first time in his playoff career, including two in the final minute as the Kings fell behind 5-0 after two periods. Quick was replaced by Martin Jones in the third period.
