McGee played five seasons in Los Angeles, from 1981-86, and won two championships. Much like Vinnie "The Microwave" Johnson, who would plague the Lakers later in the decade in their battles with the Pistons, McGee had a scorer's mentality coming off the bench and was very efficient in doing so as he shot 51.9 percent from the floor during his time in L.A.
