2022 NCAA Tournament Bracketology

After the most unusual NCAA tournament in history, a return to the version of March Madness fans have known and loved is back on the schedule for 2021-22. A standard selection process, a multiple-city event and the return of fans, bands and cheerleaders are among the elements college basketball worshippers hope to welcome back in March. ESPN will have you covered up through Selection Sunday with the most recent men's NCAA tournament bracket projections, including the teams on the bubble and those best positioned to cut down the nets in New Orleans on April 4.

Bracket Watch

Once again, the at-large bubble has an unusual focus on the ACC. Miami (Last Four Byes), North Carolina (Last Four Byes) and Virginia Tech (Next Four Out) are enduring various stages of concern. North Carolina, in particular, needed to escape Virginia Tech at home to avoid a three-game losing streak and stay in the projected field. This is not your father's ACC, of course, and may be a mere downbeat for the conference. Then again, it was only two tourneys ago (2019) that the ACC had three No. 1 seeds. And now it could send multiple teams to Dayton. I'm guessing they don't hang "First Four" banners on Tobacco Road.
