Research Notes

  • Michigan becomes the first team to 20 wins this season. The Wolverines will try to become the 1st team since Kansas 5 years ago to win the national title after being the first team to 20 wins. The previous 4 teams to get to crack the 20-win mark 1st didn't even make the Final Four.

  • Michigan is the fourth Division I team this season to commit two turnovers - none have committed fewer.Surprisingly, the Wolverines are the only one of the four to beat a Division I opponent.

  • Trey Burke is the only Big Ten player to score at least 15 points in every conference game so far this season.

  • Michigan did not commit a turnover in the first half against Northwestern. The Wolverines' season low for turnovers in a game is three against Central Michigan.
