In NEC action tonight, both Mt. St. Mary's guard Sam Prescott and Central Connecticut guard Kyle Vinales scored 40 points. They are the 1st pair of players from the same conference to top the 40-point plateau on the same day since Tyrese Rice and Sean Singletary did so for Boston College and Virginia, respectively in ACC play on March 1, 2008. It is the 9th such occurrence of its kind since the 1996-97 season.
