Research Notes

  • North Carolina has really improved since switching to a smaller lineup on February 13 vs Duke by inserting 6-foot-5 P.J. Hairston into the starting lineup instead of 6-foot-9 Desmond Hubert. Although the Tar Heels lost their first game vs Duke (it was only a 5-point defeat), they have reeled off 5 straight wins since then. The smaller lineup has opened up the 3-point shot for the Tar Heels and also allowed to them to create more points off turnovers.
