Wolverines overcome Orange to reach final

Attacking Syracuse's suffocating zone defense in the first half with 3-pointers, crisp passing and a fearless attitude, Michigan advanced to the national championship game with a 61-56 victory over the Orange in the Final Four on Saturday night.

  • Syracuse scored 10 points off 10 Michigan turnovers, its fewest turnovers forced and points scored off turnovers in the 2013 Men's Basketball Championship. The Orange entered the game averaging 17.3 points per game off turnovers in the tournament and had allowed fewer field goals (61) than their opponent had turnovers (67).
