Arizona State has been to three NCAA tournaments in the past 22 years. There will be no sweating a bid in 2018. Kansas, meanwhile, will fall off the top line for the first time in more than a year. Wichita State moves up.

Kansas shot 17 free throws total as a team in its two losses this week. By comparison, Collin Sexton and Allonzo Trier shot 16 apiece last night.

Arizona State with a major statement win at Kansas. Bobby Hurley coaches liked he played, without fear. The senior Tra Holder has developed into a first team All-Conference player under Hurley. Dropped 29 points in Lawrence. Senior Shannon Evans was brilliant with 22 and 5 dimes. Former ESPN 100 Remi Martin was a catalyst with his speed, shooting and defense. Had 21 points, 2-2 from 3 with 5 steals.

Watched Villanova up close win 3 games in 3 days at the Battle 4 Atlantis. What stood-out most is their balanced scoring and togetherness. Their team approach is business like. Climbing to no.1.

Good response from Arizona State after the early deficit. Sun Devils down three at the break. The two teams have combined to shoot 32 3-pointers and 33 2-pointers. Green lights all over.

Arizona State didn't waste any time getting Mickey Mitchell back on the court. Hasn't played since the 2016 NIT with Ohio State.

Kansas is 5-for-5 from the field. Arizona State hasn't made a shot yet.

Arizona now stands at 7-3. Freshmen Brandon Randolph has been coming on as of late. In his first five games he scored a total of 6 points. In his last five games he has scored a total of 60 points. Also knocking it down at 43% from beyond the arc. Legitimate third scorer when needed after Ayton and Trier.
