Connecticut fans erupt in celebration

With a 60-54 win over Kentucky on Monday night, seventh-seeded UConn won its school's fourth national title.

It was a rainy night back home, but it's safe to say the good folks of the Nutmeg State were in a partying mood.

They weren't alone. All over Connecticut -- especially on a raucous campus in Storrs -- Huskies fans celebrated well into the night.

Let's start at Gampel Pavilion, where UConn's students gathered to watch on large screens and erupted in pure joy as the final buzzer sounded.

And, of course, included a singing of "We Are The Champions" ...

Then the party left Gampel and spilled out onto the campus. Oh did it ever ...

There were fireworks that were sanctioned ...

And there were fireworks that were not ...

There were even those who didn't let mere crutches prevent them from celebrating ...

UConn students even managed to bring pop music into it. They "don't care" ...

And, of course, a party these days wouldn't be complete without a selfie ...

Storrs wasn't the only place in Connecticut going crazy on Monday night, though. Let's take a quick look around at how fans in large gatherings reacted at the final buzzer ...

The singing of "We Are The Champions" wasn't limited to campus ...

The celebration even extended down to Nashville, where Huskies fans in town to cheer on the women's team in the NCAA final gathered to watch the men. Will Tuesday night bring even more good times for Connecticut?
