UConn to play Arizona, Ohio St.

Connecticut and Arizona, a pair of powerhouse programs, will play each other in a two-year, home-and-home agreement that both schools announced on Wednesday.

The series between the Wildcats and Huskies will begin in 2017-18 with a matchup at the McKale Center in Tucson, Arizona. They will meet in Connecticut the following season.

The two teams have faced off five times since 1999, with the Huskies winning all five meetings. Connecticut won the most recent matchup, a 65-63 win in 2011, the same year the Huskies won the national title.

The Huskies also announced a home-and-home series with Ohio State that will begin in 2015-16 with a home matchup followed by a meeting in Columbus the year after. Ohio State has a 3-2 advantage over Connecticut in that series.

The teams last met in the Final Four in 1999, with Connecticut winning 64-58. The Huskies eventually won the national title that season.
