Bruins coach Steve Alford disclosed the injury on Tuesday afternoon and a UCLA spokesman confirmed the injury to ESPN.
The 6-foot-10, 250-pound Anigbogu (ESPN, No. 60) wasn't quite as highly regarded as the other two members of UCLA's freshman class -- Lonzo Ball (ESPN, No. 4) and T.J. Leaf (ESPN, No. 13) -- but he is expected to play a significant role this season.
The Bruins open the regular season Nov. 11 against Pacific at Pauley Pavilion.
