Davis is the fifth player to explore his options since Romar was fired earlier this month after 15 seasons as the Huskies' head coach.
This is the second time Davis has backed off from the Huskies. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Seattle originally committed to Washington in August 2015, before opening up his recruitment last April. Davis then chose Washington again in the fall, over Stanford, Oregon and Gonzaga.
Davis is the latest player departure since Lorenzo Romar was let go. No. 1 overall prospect Michael Porter Jr. followed his father to Missouri, while Porter Jr.'s brother, ESPN 60 junior Jontay Porter, also decommitted from the Huskies. ESPN 100 point guard Blake Harris reopened his recruitment, and sophomore forward Noah Dickerson will explore his transfer options.
Former Syracuse assistant coach Mike Hopkins was announced as Romar's replacement earlier this week.
