Harris and Porter, the No. 1 prospect in the 2017 class, were part of a top-five recruiting class at Washington. When Huskies coach Lorenzo Romar was fired last month, new Tigers coach Cuonzo Martin hired Michael Porter Sr., who was an assistant at Washington last season.
Days after the elder Porter signed on with Missouri, his son committed to the Tigers.
Harris has now followed suit. The No. 99 player in 2017, Harris also considered Michigan State, Connecticut, Rutgers and NC State since reopening his recruitment in March. Harris, a 6-foot-3 point guard, played this past season at Word of God Christian Academy in North Carolina.
Martin is hoping Porter and Harris are just the first dominoes to fall for Missouri's 2017 recruiting class. The Tigers hosted uncommitted five-star forward Kevin Knox this weekend and are expected to get involved with four-star center Jeremiah Tilmon, who decommitted from Illinois last week.
