Miami (Ohio) transfer Michael Weathers, the Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year, has committed to Oklahoma State.
Weathers also considered Nevada, Arkansas, Xavier and Miami (Florida).
"Just felt like it was the right situation for me and my family," Weathers told ESPN, "and felt like Coach [Mike] Boynton made it feel like home and comfortable enough to where I can ultimately achieve my goal."
Weathers, a 6-foot-2 guard from Kansas, averaged 16.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists last season.
This is the first big win on the recruiting trail for Boynton, who was promoted to replace Brad Underwood last month after Underwood left for Illinois.
