Former UMass coach Derek Kellogg is expected to be the next head coach at LIU Brooklyn, sources told ESPN's Jeff Goodman.
A news conference is expected for Tuesday. The expected hiring was first reported by zagsblog.com.
Kellogg parted ways with UMass at the end of this past season after nine seasons in Amherst. He amassed a 155-137 record at his alma mater in that time.
Prior to his time with the Minutemen, Kellogg served as an assistant coach at Memphis, Youngstown State and George Mason.
Kellogg, a former assistant and player for John Calipari, will replace Jack Perri, who was fired at the end of the 2017 season.
Under Perri, the Blackbirds went 20-12 (13-5 Northeast Conference) to finish second in the NEC this past season.
