CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- Miami coach Jim Larranaga has received a three-year extension from the university, leaving him under contract for the next nine seasons.
Larranaga led the Hurricanes to 29 wins in 2012-13, along with the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season and tournament championships and a trip to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament. He was The Associated Press' coach of the year.
The new deal expires May 31, 2022. Larranaga has been with the Hurricanes for two seasons and already has received two extensions.
Larranaga is 49-20 at Miami and 519-354 in his career.
