On Aug. 28, 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" speech in Washington, D.C., at the National Mall in front of a crowd of 250,000 people.

The speech came to be known as a pivotal moment in the civil rights movement, and it's often regarded as one of the best and most important public orations in U.S. history.

Today, as people all across the U.S. celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, men's basketball players from the Big East are doing their part to pay tribute to Dr. King.

In the video, various players from Big East member schools take turns reading excerpts from Dr. King's famous speech to create a mash-up of the original transcript.
