Ivy becomes last to add conference tournament

The Ivy League will no longer be the only Division I conference without a conference tournament, as it announced that a four-team bracket to determine its NCAA tournament bid will start in 2017.

These teams know Yale's tourney thirst

Among teams that have made it to the NCAA tournament at least twice, Harvard had the longest tourney drought (65 years) from 1946-2012. Fellow Ivy Leaguer Brown, as well as Stanford and Wisconsin, all went for 46 years without going dancing.

Key Ivy League games for Yale, Princeton

  • Yale, which hasn't made the NCAA tournament since 1962, is 11-1 with a half-game lead over Princeton (10-1) for first.
  • The Ivy League's automatic NCAA tournament bid goes to the regular-season champion. A tie sets up a one-game playoff.
  • Yale-Cornell is Fri. at 6 p.m. ET (Bulldogs also play Columbia on Sat.)
  • Princeton-Harvard is Fri. at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN3 (Tigers also play Dartmouth on Sat. and Penn on Tues.)
