Manhattan holds off Harvard 73-69 behind Crawford's 19

From MLB's Eddie Grant in 1918 to the NFL's Pat Tillman in 2004, athletes from the major pro leagues were among those who died in overseas wars. Grant, a former infielder for Harvard and the Indians, Phillies, Reds and Giants died in France in World War I. Tillman, a star on defense for Arizona State and the Cardinals, enlisted after 9/11 and was killed in Afghanistan. On Memorial Day and always we remember with appreciation all who sacrificed for our safety and freedom.

Amaker predicted to land Georgetown job

If Tommy Amaker can land top-100 prospects at Harvard, he would certainly do so at Georgetown. The native of nearby Virginia is our guess to land the Hoyas' job.

Andy Katz ESPN Senior Writer

If Georgetown stays in the family, Charlotte Hornets assistant coach Patrick Ewing makes the most sense. If outside, Hoyas should make a run at Harvard's Tommy Amaker.

With a game to go, Princeton remains perfect in Ivy League and will be top seed in nouveau Ivy tourney.. Mitch Henderson hit early by injuries and has done an incredible job with the Tigers. That I covered Henderson when he was a player doesn't make me feel old in the slightest. Nope. Not a bit.

Dana O'Neil ESPN Senior Writer

Princeton and Harvard tied under a minute. Tigers have one loss., Crimson two. Once - a year ago - this would be huge. With Ivy League tourney now slightly less.
