Despite Michigan's run to the national championship game, it was a disappointing postseason performance for the Big Ten. Will that change in 2018-19?
Center Matz Stockman, who never played in a game for Minnesota, will leave the school as a graduate transfer. Stockman played at Louisville for three years before transferring to the Gophers.
Michigan, the 2017-18 national runner-up, will host North Carolina on Nov. 28 as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Other matchups include Michigan State at Louisville and Indiana at Duke on Nov. 27.
Minnesota has picked up another scholarship player for the upcoming season, getting shooting guard Brock Stull, a graduate transfer from Milwaukee. Stull will be one of five newcomers on the 2018-19 team.
Minnesota men's basketball coach Richard Pitino says Pittsburgh's Marcus Carr will join the Gophers.
Minnesota has hired Kyle Lindsted as an assistant coach, after he spent the past three seasons in the same role at Wichita State.
Minnesota power forward Davonte Fitzgerald will transfer to another program for his final season of college eligibility. He played his first two years at Texas A&M and had been granted a sixth season of eligibility due to a knee injury.
Corey Sanders scored 23 points and last-place Rutgers won a Big Ten Tournament game for the second straight season, beating Minnesota 65-54 on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.
Dakota Mathias matched his career high with 25 points and left to a standing ovation in his final home game as No. 9 Purdue blew out Minnesota 84-60 on Sunday.
Nate Mason scored 33 points as Minnesota snapped a nine-game losing streak with an 86-82 victory over Iowa on Wednesday night.
Brevin Pritzl scored 20 points, including two 3s in overtime, and Ethan Happ led a defensive resurgence in the extra period to help Wisconsin beat Minnesota 73-63 in overtime on Monday night.
Minnesota sophomore small forward Amir Coffey will have season-ending surgery on his right shoulder. Coffey has missed 10 of the last 12 games with the injury.

Minnesota sophomore Amir Coffey will undergo season-ending surgery on his right shoulder and miss the remainder of the season. Has missed the last five games and 10 games total. Was averaging 14.0 points.
Family members and former Timberwolves players joined the current squad to honor Flip Saunders, the team's former coach and executive who died in 2015 of Hodgkin lymphoma.
Reggie Lynch maintains his innocence against sexual misconduct allegations but has dropped appeals of his Minnesota expulsion because he does not feel he could receive a fair hearing.
Jaren Jackson Jr. scored a career-high 27 points on 10-for-14 shooting for second-ranked Michigan State, and the Spartans cruised to their ninth consecutive victory by beating Minnesota 87-57 on Tuesday night.

TONIGHT HEADLINES: Virginia wouldn't lose a No. 1 seed with a loss at Miami, but would certainly drop from No, 1 overall. Kansas, which shouldn't be a No. 2 seed ahead of Texas Tech, would have to drop with a loss at Iowa State. Michigan State could make the Committee look smart with a loss at Minnesota, however unlikely. Maryland must win at Nebraska to get back in the hunt; Huskers must win to stay there. And don't get me started on Oklahoma as a No. 4. Will cover it all tonight from the debut of the #InfinityBracketBunker.
Devonte Green and Juwan Morgan each scored 19 points Friday night, leading Indiana to an 80-56 blowout over Minnesota.
