Michigan wins late again, beating Tulsa 67-62

Zak Irvin hit a go-ahead 3-pointer and a pair of free throws in the closing minute as Michigan pulled out another one at the end on Wednesday night, beating Tulsa 67-62 in the First Four.

Michigan struggled from 3-point range, but Zak Irvin still had the confidence to bury a huge one late in the win over Tulsa. "We always tell each other, no matter how many we miss, the next one is going to fall."

Michigan hasn't done all that much to impress on the offensive end, but it has dialed up the defensive pressure and is chasing down loose balls to make up for it in the First Four against Tulsa. If the Wolverines start knocking down some shots, the Golden Hurricane are going to struggle to survive.

Keep an eye on Tulsa guard James Woodard in the nightcap against Michigan. The senior is averaging nearly 16 points per game and has only finished as a single-digit scorer in two games all season.
