Cal escapes Oregon State in a must-win game. Wasn't pretty at all but Bears advance despite shooting 40 percent from the field against a team they dominated in the regular season. Will need a better effort tomorrow.

Cal beat Oregon State, hindered by injuries all season, by 41 points combined in two regular season meetings. But Beavers hanging in there in the final minutes. Again, Cal can't lose this game and expect to get any serious at-large consideration.

Cal in a tight game with an Oregon State team that has nothing to lose. Ivan Rabb (1-for-7) really struggling. Win doesn't guarantee anything for Cal. Loss probably guarantees a trip to the NIT.

Cal down early to an Oregon State squad that won just one PAC-12 game this season. Cal needs this tourney more than any team in the field. Might need a few quality wins to earn an at-large berth.
